Night and Day / Nimmerdor / Grannus
2002 Imported GOV Mare – 16.2 hh
PSSM1 n/n (clear) WFFS n/WFFS (carrier) a/a e/e
Nightgirl is a stunning imported mare from the Netherlands, where she spent some time at VDL Stud, yet details about her history in the USA are quite vague as she competed before the era of cell phones and digital media!. Despite this, we know she is broke to ride and had a stint in competition under Todd Miniskus. She has a passport from the GOV.
She has very correct conformation, but suffered from a canker which is a tumor growth on her front left hoof right after she arrived to us and we almost lost her. She has recovered after the tumor was surgically removed but now that front left hoof appears very clubby. This is not genetic and you can see in the photo of her with the fly mask her feet were long but correct.
A Secret in the Night is a tall, elegant, and correctly conformed mare, imported from Germany and bred by Bernhard Schrapper. Her sire, Night and Day, has achieved success up to 1.45m and is a descendant of the acclaimed stallion Nimmerdor, recognized as the KWPN Stallion of the Century. A Secret in the Night boasts a lineage filled with accomplishments; many of her siblings have excelled up to 1.60m, and several others have reached the ranks of Grand Prix Dressage. This pedigree is truly exceptional, featuring highly sought-after names that are rarely seen up close!
