Frequently Asked Questions

Our goal is to help you obtain your dream foal!

Our In Utero Foals Purchases are set up roughly the following way:

(however, we can offer some flexibility if needed – please talk to us for your specific request)

  • The in utero foal is reserved with a 10% deposit – this secures the foal for you and no one else!
  • An additional 10% is due upon birth of a healthy foal which passes its initial vet exam
  • We do allow payments, and try to be flexible as possible – it never hurts to ask! Typically payments are complete by weaning – 4 to 6 months, but we can extend if needed. See our contract below.
  • Board and routine care (farrier, vaccines, dewormring) through weaning is included in the purchase price!

Will you keep me informed throughout the process of breeding and/or pregnancy?

Absolutely! We love to spam you with photos of the mare’s growing baby bump and share in updates. Or if early enough, ultrasound pictures!

When do I get notified that my foal is born?

We use a special monitoring system and pull our mares in with a camera system as they approach foaling, we also utilize pH testing to get a pretty close idea, all while keeping you as updated as possible! Usually close to birth, we check the mares milk pH at least 3x a day. As soon as we know, you will know the baby is here!

When can I meet my foal?!

If you are local, we are happy to have you come meet them as soon as possible! Even if not local we are happy to assist you to come meet your precious new bundle of legs!

What if I have reserved a foal but I changed my mind?

Sorry, the deposit is considered forfeit. However, we understand things happen, and if we can find a replacement buyer quickly for the foal, we can sometimes offer a refund, but this is not guaranteed.

What if the mare looses her pregnancy?

The deposit will be refunded in full, or you have the option to transfer the deposit to another available in utero foal / available foal!
