Jannielle aka “Jellybean” was imported as an eventing prospect in 2022. Prior to that she was consistently schooling third and fourth level dressage, with some schooling shows under her belt and scores in the 70+%. She was coursing 3’6 courses with ease before an unfortunate accident likely ended her performance career. She was sold to us as a broodmare prospect, and has regained soundness but we are so happy to have her here so she has not resumed a performance career.

Her sire, Colman, is known as one of the best sons of Carthago who’s reputation and legacy is known as an exceptional jumping sire in both performance and breeding. Under rider Jos Lansink, Carthago eared multiple Grand Prix wins and competed successfully at the Olympic’s twice. His outstanding Dam Sire, Lord, became to be known as one of the most famous stallions of the Holsteiner breed. He went on to produce successful licensed stallions: Chin Chin, Colmander and L.B Convall, to name a few. Colman’s very successful and well-known progeny, Catwalk under rider’s Robert Whitaker and L.B. Convall, earned many notable successes. Continuing Catwalk’s successes, under rider Philipp Weishaupt the rider and horse team captured many great wins at the Aachen and Calgary Grand Prix’s, then went on to earn the title of Germany’s highest earning jumping horse in 2017.

Her dam sire, Contact van de Heffinck, is a real asset for sport as for breeding. His sire is the noble and very promising stallion Concept who is a son of top inheritor Concerto II. Concept is out of a very interesting dam-line (nr 275) as his grand-dam Jenni is a full sister to the dam of the famous Landgraf I. Florina, the dam of Concept is the half sister of the international GP horse Avion (Ludger Beerbaum) and of the Olympic Champion Orchidee (Dirk Hafemeister) Concept was finalist at the German Championships for 6-year old horses and shows great quality in is progeny. Franziska, the dam of Contact is no one less then the full sister of the great Clinton who is among the very best international show-jumpers and breeding stallions in Belgium. Contact has an impressive and correct conformation, who also shows tremendous elasticity in his movements. But when it comes to jumping, there’s no better youngster like Contact as there seems to be no limit to his scope, combined with a technique that can hardly be improved. His descendants are tall horses and they all like working. They combine jumping technics with a lot of scope.
