Snapee is a beautiful trakehner mare who had a performance career in dressage (up to Third Level), dressage equitation, and dressage freestyle classes. She also dabbled in (unrated) hunter classes up to 3ft and was shown by a AA and a young rider with an easy lead change.

She is light in the bridle, lovely forward mover, trail rides, impeccable ground manners, a joy to have around.

Indeed her sire, Heling is considered one of the very top stallions in the Trakehner Verband. He is # 1 in the breed for producing walk, he is # 2 for producing overall gaits (combined walk/trot/canter), and # 2 for increasing on mares height. His overall high marks led to his being featured in “Trakehner Hefte” – March 2000 edition.
His sire, BUKEPHALOS, was an international 3-Day Event horse, and is the sire of the very successful stallion HEINZELMANN (Storyteller), a top winning hunter, and sire of some of the winning young line horses in Canada. HEINZELMANN is currently ranked in the top 20 of the AHSA national standings, in the Amateur/Owner Hunter division – he was also the Circuit Champion for the 2001 Winter Equestrian Festival, Wellington, FL.

HELING’s grandsire, CONSUL, has been a leading Trakehner sire in Germany over the past two decades, with many of his offspring now competing at Grand Prix Dressage and higher level Event horses.

Snapee’s damsire is the legendary Enrico Caruso – hands down one of the best stallions the trakehner breed has had. You will find him in the pedigrees of many successful horses, and he left his mark behind, may be more so in Germany than in the U.S. His best & most famous son, Kostolany (out of Kapstadt by Falke) (bred & owned by Otto Langels) has followed in his sire’s footsteps by also siring many successful sporthorses & in excess of 9 approved sons, most of them Trakehners. Kstolany’s most famous son is the Approval Champion Gribaldi (out of Gondola by Ibikus, Breeder Marika Werner). He has had a great impact on the Dutch Warmblood Breed in the Netherlands. He also qualified for the 2005 FEI World Cup in Las Vegas under Edward Gal.

Her pedigree is oozing with talent, both dressage and over fences, which show the athletic talent and versatility of the trakehner breed. We are glad to offer her retirement here at our farm!
