Her Dam, Corniola was a successful international showjumper under German rider Soren Von Ronne and Danish rider Henrik Steen Gundersen until she was retired perfectly sound in 2001. Her international results include: 2nd in the Grand Prix of Aarhus (1.60 metre), 3rd in the Speed Class at Rostock, 3rd in the Info-Key Cup (1.50 metre), 3rd in the 1.50 metre class at the CSI Friedrichshafen (Germany); 6th at the Leipzig show; and 6th at the Hannover show (Germany). Corniola also had numerous wins and placings in national 1.50 m. and 1.40 m. classes in Germany and Denmark and was one of the top showjumpers in Denmark.

Her sire, Ekstein, needs no introduction. As a 7-year-old Ekstein won the KWPN stallion showjumping championship. Ekstein sired many international showjumpers including the Olympic horse Joel. Ranked as the world’s 38th top sire, and with offspring such as Hickstead (Winner – Individual Gold and Team Silver in 2008 Olympics, and the number 1 ranked international showjumper in both 2009 and 2010. ) and Ulysses M2S, proven international Grand Prix showjumper, is evidence of proven top level genetics.

Dam Sire: Corrado I – a household name in the “who is who” of top Holsteiner Verband stallions. Corrado I achieved the highest jumping index of his fellow contenders at the stallion performance test with a score of 137 points, whereby he twice attained the score of 10.0 for loose jumping and jumping ability/training. In 1993 he won the Leeuwarden Grand Prix and came second m the Nation’s Cup in La Baule. Then in 1994, he was winner of the World Cup qualification of Dortmund and came third in the Aix la Chapelle Nation’s Cup and in 1996, Corrado 1 became World Cup champion in Aarhus (Denmark) as well as champion of the Grand Prix’ of Neumunster and Kiel. Perhaps his most spectacular son is the grey stallion, Clinton, who was individually 4th at the Olympic Games in Athens, and second behind Shutterfly at Aachen in 2005.
